Swimming and pizza for the new season

As part of Jamie John winning the Jack Petchey award at the end of the season, it has been decided that the team are going to go to Hemel Hempstead for swimming and pizza. Jamie won £200.00 to spend in any way he chose for the team as he was nominated by his team mates for the Jack Petchey prize and won. This will take place on Sunday 10th Sept. We are sure it is going to be a great day and a fantastic way to kick off the new season.

Phase 2 and moving forward

For phase 2 of the season and the final phase before the teams move to 11 a-side football, the B & C teams are going to mix. There are number of changes that have already taken place and then half way through the phase there will be more. This will allow the kids to play in the same teams as some have never done so but it will also allow managers the chance to have a look at all the kids and review progression of every child. We have all agreed that in this phase the results are not as important has have been with other phases but we know the boys will go out there with the same intention they always do and that is to give it their all and try and win.

Another very successful tournament was held on Saturday, played on pitches in really good condition (before the heavy rain came) and in a great spirit. Well done to John O'Kane for his organisation and to everybody for turning up on time. Congratulations to Jesus Garcia manager of the winning team, in his first venture (ever) in to team management. (Must be something to do with learning from all the great Real Madrid managers - can't be anything to do with Chelsea!!). And well done to the two refs (Pat & Kevin) and the other managers too.
Red team 4th. Blue team 3rd. Black team 2nd & yellow team 1st. Most MOTM Malachy with 4. Top scorers Jonathon, Tiernan & Malachy with 2.
